Big Y Foods (Inc.): A family-owned supermarket chain with stores across Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Position: Graphic Designer
• Planning and creating weekly circulars that are distributed across all Big Y Stores
• In-house photographer for packaged and perishable items used for various campaigns, media, and department usage
• Design and create in-store posters, clings, banners, and other media
• Create campaign pieces for print, digital, and web usage
Weekly Circular (flyer)
Flyers sale dates are effective Thursday-Thursday each week. Each flyer is planned a month and a half before the sale's effective date. Flyers are created three weeks in advance and go through five to eight rounds of proofing within a five-day limit.
This is an inside circular page with a special design call out in the Quick Easy Meals section and a bakery promotion for Chabaso Bakery (below design is the alternate design, in case only three types of bread will be displayed).
Feature to call out Department Experts within the Circular:
Special pages that follow along with a weekly campaign. These items are picked to follow with the Lock-In Savings program. These campaigns only run once or twice a year. This specific campaign was to call out heading back to school. Some campaigns will last one week, whereas others will be two weeks.
